Fredrika “Freddie” Baer was an artist, born in Chicago in 1952, living most of her adult life in San Francisco. She was best known for her collage work, which was widely published in science fiction, anarchist, and other political magazines and books, and frequently silk-screened. She moved to Eureka, California, in 2020 but continued to maintain close ties to her San Francisco (and world) community. Freddie died on November 12, 2025, of pneumonia and complications of cancer.
